Te Aho o Te Kahu works with several groups and organisations to ensure quality and consistent cancer services are available. In addition to the list below, Te Aho o Te Kahu works with District Health Boards, Primary Healthcare Organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations, Academic Organisations and many others.

National Screening Unit

The National Screening Unit (NSU) within Te Whatu Ora, Health NZ, is responsible for the development, management and monitoring of nationally organised population-based screening in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

The NSU leads the National Bowel Screening Programme, National Cervical Screening Programme and BreastScreen Aotearoa (i.e. Breast Screening Programme).

PHARMAC - Te Pātaka Whaioranga

PHARMAC - Te Pātaka Whaioranga is the New Zealand government agency which plays an active role in keeping kiwis healthy. PHARMAC is the lead agency who decides which medicines or medical devices are funded in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

bpacnz

The Best Practice Advocacy Centre New Zealand (bpacnz) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, that delivers educational and continuing professional development resources to primary care health professionals and other clinical groups throughout New Zealand. bpacnz provides evidence-based guidance for best practice in healthcare treatments and investigations across a wide range of health service delivery areas, including a dedicated section on cancer care.

Te Hiringa Hauora

Te Hiringa Hauora (the Health Promotion Agency), is an evidence-based health promotion organisation, influencing all sectors that contribute to health and wellbeing. Their key role is to lead and support health promotion initiatives to:

• promote health and wellbeing and encourage healthy lifestyles
• prevent disease, illness and injury
• enable environments that support health, wellbeing and healthy lifestyles
• reduce personal, social and economic harm.

National Child Cancer Network

The National Child Cancer Network brings together health professionals, carers and stakeholder organisations to work collaboratively and provide leadership for service development across child cancer services in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Network

The AYA Cancer Network Aotearoa connects hands-on healthcare and support providers from many disciplines and organisations. AYA works to improve cancer services for adolescent and young adult New Zealanders.
