Are you interested in using your cancer experiences or those to help improve cancer care for all communities in Aotearoa New Zealand? Te Aho o Te Kahu, New Zealand’s Cancer Control Agency, is looking to appoint four new members to its consumer reference group, He Ara Tangata.

About you -Mōu anō
You may have been diagnosed with cancer or supported a friend or family member with cancer. You do not need a medical background or knowledge of the cancer system. We especially welcome applications from Māori, Pacific peoples, disabled people | tāngata whaikaha, and/or people in the Rainbow community.

About the role - Te mahi
He Ara Tangata is a key advisory group to our Agency, with up to 12 members who provide advice on our work, based on their lived experience of cancer. Members also sometimes contribute to key projects so we can better reflect the voices of people and whānau across the design and delivery of cancer control in Aotearoa.
We will invite you to attend quarterly meetings, with at least one face-to-face meeting each year (half-day or full-day). We will cover travel costs for in-person meetings, as well as time to read documents and attend meetings.
